stoked

for celine!!!
yes, I have always wanted to see her shows
people always say how good it is
so.. much to my surprise a girl at my work had them and couldn't go so she gave me a discount to buy them
I called up chara and bought them right then and there
yes, we might be the youngest ones there but we are sure giddy
and it was perfect cause it falls right on chara's birthday so it worked out great!

there are so many shows I want to see in vegas, so hopefully this is the year to do it!
bring on celine!!!

2012?

Wow....another year has started and another month has almost passed...I am sure behind!
With this new job I don't sit on the computer as much to update. I miss my blogging.
So I am finally getting around to new years eve! It was a blast. We went to Richy's sisters house to pig out on delicious food and played games with his fam, I love hanging out with them.

I always love reflecting on the past year and what all happened and how it all happened...I had some of my hardest trials and some of my happiest moments. It's funny how after a hard trial hits heavenly father always throws something good in the mix to keep us going. At least that's how it feels to me...maybe funny isn't the best word, but I have noticed that's what happens. And that's why I can't complain so much cause he gives me so many other amazing things to put my focus on.

Who knew I would be dating one of my best friends that I grew up with at the end of the year? I sure as heck didn't see that coming, and he came just perfect timing. He has been my biggest supporter and has held my hand through everything. He is an absolute sweetheart and I am so thankful for the experiences I have had with him. I hope I didn't just jinx myself haha.

I am so excited to start this new year with my new goals. It is so refreshing having a new start and I am actually motivated this time! So I am pretty excited :)

Just a few highlights from the last year to put down....
-Got a new car
-Rob left on his mission
-Was able to go to Canada twice!
-Had Celeste down for conference
-Got a new job, it was hard leaving my last one
-Super fun trip to Vegas with the friends
-Had a tough break up and was rewarded with an amazing guy. It's true, they only get better!
-Some road trips to Vernal and lots of time with Chara
-Went to Disneyland!! With some of my most favorite people
-Thanksgiving with the friends then another one with the fam
-The second annual ugly sweater party
-Got a calling to be the laurel adviser and I absolutely love it!

It was a great year indeed! I have learned and grown so much and am so thankful to where I am at now. It is where I have worked my butt off to be. I am so blessed and amazed at what a year can bring. Life is such a journey and a roller coaster like they say, but that's what keeps us on our toes.

I caught myself a few times saying...I miss roommates, going to school, having single friends, living on my own, going to a singles ward, doing whatever I want, etc. But as I keep growing up and looking at my life now, it is just where I need to be. It is all just the joys of growing up and going after new goals and dreams. I never ever thought I would be dating Richy, living at home, that I wouldn't be doing hair, that I would be a laurel adviser! It is just crazy to think about. I am thankful for where heavenly father has put me and things I get to experience. When I first got my calling it was the scariest thing ever, and I felt like I was just in there last week. It has been quite the journey but I have loved getting to know the girls.

Anywhoo...just my random thoughts on the new year. I'm sure it all makes better sense in my head, but there it is!

second annual

Christmas sweater party!
And it was sure a success, I am so glad we are sticking with this tradition. The turn out is always awesome and the food is always great! I was so happy Charidi came down for it, she didn't want to miss out and she was able to stay the whole weekend. I did feel bad about borrowing my sweater from my neighbor though cause that Sunday she was wearing it. Good thing I didn't say it was an ugly sweater party, just asked for a christmas sweater! And she was flattered, I loved it. But we had chick-fil-a cater it and a white elephant gift exchange, which is never a let down. It was great seeing everyone and a great way to welcome in the holiday!!!

ch ch ch changes!

Freak I am blessed....these past few weeks have been crazy and so amazing all at the same time! I am so thankful to have Rob out on the mission, I sure do miss him so much. Our family is staying strong though!
Just a few little updates I have been excited about....

-Got our first email from Rob!!!!!! I am still smiling ear to ear about it. It was so awesome hearing from him. Such a sweet and sincere email. Made my heart just melt :) he is doing just wonderful and loving it so much. I can not wait to see the changes in him and see him grow.
-I got a new job!!! I heard about this job from a friend and wasn't thinking much of it. I turned in a resume, got an interview and just found out yesterday I got it and I start the 20th. It was bittersweet turning in my two weeks here at Rescue Alert, been nothing but a great job with awesome people. I just think it's time to step up to something more high pace. I am so excited and so nervous to meet new people and work, its always a challenge to step out of the comfort zone. Bring it on!!
-I got a new car! Ok, I am only announcing this cause it was the smartest decision ever. I didn't like my last car and all the problems it was having. It was so dang expensive too! I decided to put it on KSL to see if anyone would buy it, well 2 months past with nothing. Finally a guy came and looked at it and wanted it that night. I was thrilled but also freaking out cause I didn't have a car yet. After 2 weeks of non stop car hunting and mooching rides I finally found a great honda civic that cut my payment and insurance down by a lot. I am so thrilled and I just love the car and the fact that it is 4 door!! I know it will be more reliable than what I had.

November was a great month and a lot of changes! I am beyond stoked to have December here, I seriously love this month and all the festivities it brings. Life is so dang good and I am excited for the future :)

just like that

And he's off! Just like that, dropped him off at the curb and watched him walk away.
my heart broke when he looked back 5 times and when him and carson hugged.
don't think we really knew what we were in for
I am so happy for him though, he is going to do awesome!

Just last night we got a call from the mtc. the lady said I just had to call and tell you how rare it is that we find someone like your son, he is just so upbeat and happy here. We all just adore him already in just a few days.
He wanted me to call and say that he loves you all so much and not to worry.
What an awesome phone call to get, we all miss him so much and are just so comforted to know that this is what he chose to do. And that he is making the best of the mtc!
Good luck elder, can't wait for the first letter...

early thanksgiving!!

If this is starting a new tradition then I am thrilled about it.
Mike casually set up a little thanksgiving dinner with the friends and it ended up being a big event! We were surprised how many people came. It was great to see everyone, especially the ones I hardly see.
It was so much fun and the food was awesome.
I do not mind at all having two thanksgiving dinners...can't wait for next week!!

Favorite quote of the week....
"Jax, I pray one day you wake up and you don't like country music anymore..."
Hahahaha, poor Richy. He gets so sick of my mushy country love songs....
